Flying cheap in Thailand?

Traveling around by airplane is a way to save times. But for budget traveling, it's not a good idea to take the full-service one. There are many low-cost flights operated in each region. Here I have three choices if you want to travel around Thailand and Southeast Asia.

Air Asia

This is actually a Malaysian budget airline. It operates scheduled domestic and international flights and is Asia's largest low-fare. Now it expands its business in Thailand as Thai Air Asia. Its main base is in Low-Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and has hubs at Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok, Thailand and Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Jakarta, Indonesia. Flights to London and Paris are also available!

Tips: Air Asia release plenty of great promotions every week. Keep eyes on its website so that you won't miss a single!. The price can be relatively high if you book the flight close to the travel day. Booking online can be sometimes complicated. Be careful about additional charge hidden. You have to pay for checked baggage and picking a seat.

Nok Air

Nok Air can be said to be the low-cost airline of Thai Airways. It operates only domestic flights. Nok Air has two hubs, the main one is at Donmueang Airport, Bangkok, and another one is at Chiang Mai Airport, north of Thailand, which offer flights to nearby cities such as Udon Thani, Mae Hong Son, Pai, and Nan.

Tips: Register as a member of Nok Fan Club and you'll get more chances to fly cheap. Free in-flight snack is by Auntie Anne's which is not peanut for sure :)
This may be a good choice for anyone who want to travel around Thailand because its routes cover more cities in the country than any other airlines.

1-2-GO!

1-2-GO is operated by Orient Thai Airlines. The airline used to fly out from both Donmueang Airport and Suvarnabhumi Airport but is now reduced to only Donmueang Airport. It operates flights to the major cities like Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Hat Yai.

Tips: The price of 1-2-GO is quite stable, is not so cheap but also doesn't climb up high like Air Asia and Nok Air if you book for last minute. Most of the prices shown in the promotions a the real prices (all include, no more additional charge).
